The ICT Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit (ICT-MobileSummit 2008) took place in the Innovative City of Stockholm. This was the seventeenth in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission, which regularly attracts over 600 delegates from industry and research to share experiences and research results, identify future trends, discuss business opportunities and identify opportunities for international research collaboration under the ICT Theme of Framework Programme 7 (FP7). It contributed to showcasing European research in the field, and positioning it within the multiplicity of related initiatives supported in other regions of the world.

The Final Programme is published online and can be downloaded as a PDF brochure.

All papers published in the ICT-MobileSummit 2008 Conference Proceedings are available in the Paper Repository - delegates can download the papers using their log in details.

ICT-MobileSummit 2009, will take place in the historical city of Santander, Spain, 10 - 12 June. Please click here to download the Call for Papers brochure.

Supported by the European Commission and eMobility, the ICT-MobileSummit's reputation is based on high quality paper sessions that showcase original results in all areas of wireless communications systems and networks, including Mobile and Fixed, Terrestrial and Satellite.

The deadline for online submission of full papers is 16 January 2009.

ICT-MobileSummit 2008 Best Paper Awards

The Best Paper Award was presented to "Femtocell Quality of Service over DSL backhaul" authored by Árpád DROZDY, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Broadband Infocommunications and Electromagnetic Theory, Hungary, László KORÖSSY and Csaba VULKÁN, Nokia Siemens Networks, Hungary & János BITÓ, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Broadband Infocommunications and Electromagnetic Theory, Hungary.

The Runner-up Best Paper Award was presented to "Combining GPS and WLAN Based Position Estimators in Real Scenarios" authored by Sami NOUSIAINEN, Krzysztof KORDYBACH & Paul KEMPPI, Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), Finland.

ICT-MobileSummit 2008 Best Demonstration Stand Awards

The Best Demonstration Stand Award was presented to Pulsers Phase II. The Runner-Up Best Demonstration Stand Award was presented to HYDRA.
